Dr. Ahuja graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993 with a B.A. honors degree & received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, Houston in 1997. She then went on to complete her residency training in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics from the same institution, obtaining double board certification in both specialties.
Throughout her 20+ year career, Dr. Ahuja has served as an emergency room physician, a residency program director for over a decade, a med/peds hospitalist, & developed and overseen many clinical services (including a hospitalist program, perioperative medicine program, an APP medicine service, & a robust nocturnist program that staffs over 13 different services at night). As the inaugural division chief of hospital medicine at Stanford, she has grown her division from 10 faculty to 60+ faculty/staff in her addition to her medical director roles in pharmacy & inpatient medicine. Dr. Ahuja enjoys caring for patients in the inpatient setting, teaching, mentoring, & engaging in quality improvement & clinical research.
