PGY2 Ambulatory Care Resident
Upstate University Hospital
Sara Farooqi completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at the Upstate University Hospital. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2021 from the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Brooklyn. Now, she is enthusiastic about continuing her residency training as a PGY-2 in ambulatory care at Upstate in collaboration with the St. John Fisher University Wegmans School of Pharmacy. During her PGY-1 residency year, her interest in providing direct patient care heightened through her multitude of experiential opportunities. Dr. Farooqi developed strong clinical skills to work closely with patients by working closely with Upstate's diverse healthcare teams. She looks forward to creating strong interprofessional relationships, providing high-quality patient care, and developing clinical skills to provide comprehensive medication therapy management.
After completing her residency training, Dr. Farooqi hopes to obtain an ambulatory care specialist position and BCACP board certification. In addition, she looks forward to continuing her passion for teaching and precepting future pharmacists.
